=============================================

For many years this was the main teaching block, built in 1938; another block, off picture on the left, was added during the 1950s.

The New 1953 Teaching block

January 2001 -  thanks to Vivien Flynn (1954-61) - we have a photo of the the 1950s new teaching block. This was taken during the Summer Reunion June 1997.

The other side of the 1938 block overlooked the Coach Road - the main (approved) access to the Village. The Ayton Meeting graveyard is out of picture on the left.

The School Clock above "B" Dorm

The School Clock above "B" Dorm photographed in 1988. Was it always this grimy? When the rebuild emerges from scaffolding we should see a cleaned up face.

There are many generations of boys boarders who slept underneath the whirring and striking of the hours and half hour. Strange though how quickly the noise was programmed out and did not disturb (most of) our sleep.
