Sir John Storey 1911 was an old scholar from 1851-54.
This photo of him appeared in the 24th Annual Report in 1911-12
to acknowledge his Baronetcy conferred in the New Year's Honours
list.
This young lady is Ethel Lingford who was a scholar at Ayton
School from 1898-1900.
The envelope containing the photo mentioned a letter with her
reminiscences; if this surfaces it will be added as a linked
page.
This photo was found in
the Archive collection and identifies Philip Carr as a music pupil
at Ayton, although there is no trace of him in the Records.
He is photographed as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Leicestershire
Fusiliers but the photo is undated.
