| Form IV from 1915 - Third from the left on the top row is
the young J. E. (Bertie) Fawcett, who celebrated his 100th Birthday 5th
February 2001. Sophia Wells is in the centre of the 2nd row from the front. |
This
is J. E. (Bertie) Fawcett aged fourteen extracted from the original
of the above.
A large, specially produced, version of both was
posted to Bertie at his home in Australia.
The reply letter which
identified Bertie, written by his daughter Joan, was full of interesting news.
Naturally this has been passed on to Gill Jackson - Magazine Editor. Bertie
added
a postscript in his own hand.
Sadly, Bertie died in 2001. |
